This is definitely one of the more original TMGs out on the market today! Unlike Diner Dash et al., Teddy doesn't serve his customers by running from table to table with platters of food in his paws. Rather, he launches their meals up to them after preparing such dishes a la Delicious Deluxe and Delicious 2 Deluxe. This alone makes for surprisingly and refreshingly fierce gameplay that so many other "diner" games have yet to mimic, especially when it comes to such customers as the somewhat uncharacteristically anxious pandas and the gluttonous grizzlies. You need to be quick about sending up a sponge to clean up the table where a departing customer sat, too, else the guest who ends up sitting in his or her place will automatically lose one heart's worth of happiness. Failure to do so means you'll really have to give the new guest some serious VIP treatment when he or she places his or her order. Even so, this fast-paced style of play will certainly appeal to a wide selection of action gamers, and the opportunity for Teddy to upgrade his restaurant to suit a given gamer's playing style is equally appreciable. The graphics and audio are nothing to sneeze at, either, though, making Teddy Tavern a true culinary PC game adventure for everyone.
