Here's another great match-3 title that deserves serious attention! In Deep Blue Sea, Jessica trades in her stuffy office job for a life of adventure and gets more than what she bargained for when she comes across a relic belonging to an ages-old kingdom of merfolk. Now she finds herself caught in the middle of mystery and intrigue and must decide whom to trust as two struggling forces vie over the fate of the underwater realm.

On that same note, the player finds himself or herself caught up in the beautiful graphics and tried-and-true atmosphere of an incredible match-3 experience where he or she must swap pieces to make rows and columns of three or more items to lead his or her diver as well as various artifacts to the bottom of the screen before his or her oxygen meter runs out. Collecting talisman pieces is especially essential to Jessica's quest in that they're not only vital in fully restoring the great stone disk she discovers, but because they also serve as power-ups that she can activate after matching a certain number of like-shaped pieces such as octopi, puffer fish, or sea stars. Matching three or more coins in the same line also gives Jess the chance to buy power-ups form the treasure hunters' shop between levels that range from harpoon guns to spare oxygen tanks to even a pack of hungry piranhas. She can even upgrade her treasure chest so that she can carry even more coins out of the ocean to spend on such goodies! Throw in some soothing music and mood-fitting sound effects, and you've got yourself a game that undeniably commands respect.

In short, Deep Sea Quest is one of the finer games of 2007-08 and should not be passed up by puzzle gamers of any age, especially fans of quality match-3 titles. As such, I encourage players to download it today and see for themselves as to how great it is!
