One of my favorite word games of all time! Basically, it's an adventure game where the player uses words instead of weapons to defeat dozens of antagonists in traditional turn-based combat. Click on the letters provided to spell out a word that's between three and sixteen letters long to bite, head butt, and tail slap your enemies as you traverse three books--Greek mythology, Arabian folklore, and Transylvanian monster legendry--in your quest to rescue Cassandra the oracle and help her return to the book from which she has been kidnapped. Use health, power-up, and tile purification potions to give you an edge against the opposition and gem tiles to boost the effectiveness of your attacks. Meet such personalities along your journey as Hephaestus, Sinbad, and Dr. Frankenstein and play one of three challenging mini-games with Moxie the fox to test your word-building skills. Collect artifacts to upgrade your chances for survival and, if you're exceptionally skilled, witness and enjoy the surprise ending that awaits you at the end of the game.

Still not sold? Then try out the Mini-Game hut or the speed-spell Arena and read about your enemies' abilities in the Tome of Knowledge, all of which you can unlock after mastering each of the three books. The graphics are also worth checking out, what with their rich colors superb animation, and so is the audio, which comes complete with theme-fitting music and a wide array of impressive sound effects. Finally, if the unique, challenging gameplay doesn't real you in, then I just don't know what to tell you other than the fact that you're missing out on one of Pop Cap's most popular and enjoyable games. The game is so good. The many treasures that you will get from the bosses can make the game easy or brain-busting hard which can make Lex's advice very useful. It's sad that you can play through the adventure only once. When you complete it, you need to make a new profile to play the adventure again. The mini-games and the area though can make up for this. Overall, it is very nice.
