What's to love about Ashley Jones and the Heart of Egypt? Plenty! To begin with is the easy-to-learn gameplay, which is similar to so many other match-3 games from Bejeweled to Jewel Quest to The Rise of Atlantis in that you must swap adjacent gems to make rows of three or more and turn all the tiles from blue to brown. You must also break locks, crumble stones, and recover the pieces of missing artifacts within the set time limit in each level. Luckily, you have a number of different items to help you out in your quest, from shovels and pick axes to dynamite and field rotators. Use them wisely, and you're sure to find yourself collecting one artifact right after another, which you can then set up in your very own museum exhibit between stages. Each stage you complete also gives you access to a new scene for the free screen saver that comes with this game, which really shows off its superior, smoothly animated graphics. The story line is pretty compelling, too, and truly captures the gamer's attention. In short, there's so much to enjoy with Ashley Jones and the Heart of Egypt, and no fan of match-3 games will want to pass this one by.
